These Scattered Shards

I created this book when I stayed for several months in Cauayan, Isabela way back year 2022. It has been my pattern that if I haven't been writing for quite some time and I start to write again, stories come pouring. Recently, I reread my personal copy and was amazed when its entries resonated so much with me up to this day. I also yearned to have the best quality of the paperback. After reading more entries, I adored the way this book expresses love. Not needing more convincing, I decided to publish copies of These Scattered Shards (TSS) this 2025.

TSS is another reminder of my accomplishments so far as an Author. With Ms. Kim Derla guiding me on how to procure ISBNs by myself, TSS is my first book with an ISBN. Once my other two ongoing book publishing projects are completed, I will personally process a CIP and copyright registration for this book. There's something fulfilling about processing these formal documents on my own. I'm also very glad that government institutions like NBDB and NLP are becoming supportive of independent authors.

Same with my other poetry book currently in print, the quality of TSS paperback is a chef's kiss! In the future, I might publish hardbounds as well (this is self-published, so investment from my end is big). From bookstores to my readers, they greeted this book with overwhelming support. Publishing TSS this 2025 made me realize I'm in a supportive, warm, and safe space community, connected with people sharing a beautiful, creative resonance with me.

Self-empowerment and a unique, adorable expression of love (you'll find out once you read the book) told through poetry and other short-form stories are the strengths of this book. TSS reminds the reader of their inner strength and that they have everything they need to achieve their dreams despite the sense of loss and failure. It's a very motivating book that will inspire poetry readers to keep going amidst adversities.

The Sanctuary of Us

Published by Golden Artisan Publishing in 2024, my 2nd published poetry book, The Sanctuary of Us (TSOU), is now available as a paperback (limited hardbound copies available soon)! Buy your copies online or at the physical store of my publisher.

I remember writing this book in April 2024. At the start of that year, I almost left the writing world, and had no plans to create any writing output, but there's something about the month of April that triggers my creativity. So, I began my own writing challenge by writing every day that month. This is how TSOU is born.

TSOU has a lot of stories. As a reader busy with adulting responsibilities, I love poetry and other short-form literature because I get the full story experience without it being a time-consuming activity. Of course, I'd love to spend plenty of my time reading my preferred stories, but that's my ideal world, and this is reality. TSOU is perfect for any busy readers. This book is about finding a safe space that is more than just a home; it's about finding a sanctuary from the stories on its pages. Its goal is to inspire, refuel hope, support faith, and assure that despite the hardships and darkness we face, we will overcome. We will be more than okay as long as we never give up. I also share a detailed glimpse of my battle against anxiety and OCD, hoping it can serve as a healing guide for others suffering the same mental illnesses.

TSOU offers a variety of inspiring and healing stories in the form of poems, prose, short stories, and essays with the hope you will find your sanctuary in them.
